Falling Leaves and Snowmen

Brrrr, it's turned cold here! The wind has been very strong and we have leaves everywhere
The net does a pretty good job keeping the leaves out of the pond, but I think I need to do a little raking!

But this little snowman doesn't mind all the falling leaves..
..and neither does this one. They are "dreaming of a white Christmas! "

But since Texas hardly ever GETS snow (much less at Christmas!) I collect snowmen to put out during the holidays.
These snowmen sit in the kitchen window enjoying a tree covered with snow. Shhh, they don't know this is an artificial tree!

This snowman sits on the countertop in the kitchen waiting for Christmas cookies.
This little guy sits on a shelf wishing he was really on the slopes in Colorado.

This snow family stand on the mantle where they can enjoy seeing the Christmas tree.

This snowman is ready to guard any gingerbread men that might be hidden away in his jar.
This cute snowman is happy sitting on a shelf in the kitchen looking out the window and listening to Christmas music.
And this bundled up snowman is just waiting and wishing....
"Star Light, Star Bright
Please let it snow tonight!"

Your snowmen collection is darling beyond words!! I LOVE THEM! Good thing I had a nice warm mug of hot chocolate beside me to chase away all the extra chills...teehee.

They are all so cute! And a good alternative to sloppy, cold, snow too. Though at least a white Christmas would be nice. Who knows, maybe this will be the year?

Lots of leaves to rake in your yard Linda. I still have the leaves from my Pecan tree to rake up, it's not quite bare yet. :) You have a darling snowman collection. We've only gotten snow once at Christmas in the 20 something years I've lived in VA.

Thanks Debbi--glad you like them too!

Brenda--they do make you smile, don't they? They are all so happy and cheerful.

Susie--I am very happy to share them with you. I think everyone likes a snowman, especially the not real snow ones! :)

Racquel--I thought you would have snow lots at Christmas, but I do remember when my dd lived in Charlottesville and me thinking she would see lots of snow, and she really did not!
Want to come help rake these leaves? I'll make us hot chocolate when we're done! lol :)

Hi Dee--do you ever get snow at Christmas? You are so much further north I bet you might have made real snowmen during December.
Happy Holidays!

Let me guess...those are mostly Bradford pear leaves! At least that's what they look like, and because that's what the carpet of leaves on my lawn is!

Nola--yep, that's what they are! And they STILL haven't all fallen off the tree! Can you just imagine what it looked like before we took one of the trees down! It does make for a pretty carpet though! :)
