The snow comes down in really large flakes at times. This is the view from our front to the house across the street. A winter wonderland.
The snow is so wet, the wax myrtle is falling over because of the weight. This patio is where I live when the weather is nice. Not today! I'll be inside by the fire with a mug of hot chocolate!
Hang in there little daff! It will be warm and sunny really soon! (hum....maybe Phil the groundhog knew what he was talking about!)

Darn that Phil! I would like to NOT be cold now, I'm satisfied for a few more years ;-) Love your winter wonderland photos!
That's a lot of snow. It's unusually cold for here this time of the yr. also.
What gives with this crazy weather?
Glad you liked the pictures JJ. It's hard to believe we are having a snow like this.
Lola--they say El Nino is causing this cold, wet weather--but I think we have had El Nino winters before, and I don't remember one like this since I was little (and that was a LONG time ago!) :)
I know the feeling all too well and it is getting old. Do you all get snow in Dallas normally?
Tina, in Dallas we seem to get more ice than snow. The weather people on TV are shaking their heads. They were predicting snow, but never dreamed it would snow for 24+ hours straight! If the temps were just a bit cooler(some of the snow was melting as it hit the ground), they say we would have over a foot. Not much to my daughter in DC, but for us that is unbelievable! It sure is pretty though. All schools around here are closed tomorrow. Yea-snow day!! :)
It does seem that Phil was right. Your snow is beautiful.
Wow that is amazing! We haven't had any snow here. They keep saying we will get some but it passes us by!
Have fun. We've had six so far and it is getting old. Hope your daughter digs out soon.
Did you get any snow Pam? It is beautiful--but lots of trees are destroyed because of the weight. I hope my bulbs will be ok!
Cindee--I am surprised, I thought you all got snow in the winter since you are north. It's pretty!
Tina--the final count is 12.5 inches! Wow!
Pretty much the same here. Last night the live oaks started to break from the weight of all that wet snow. I'm going to try to post some photos later this afternoon of them, it's just so sad!
I can't wait till we can be sitting out on our patios again in flip flops drinking iced tea!
I hope you don't have too much damage Nola! Some of our neighbors have lots of limbs down from their Live Oaks.
And I will join you for that iced tea on the patio!
Hey Linda, it looked just like that here this a.m. I think it is the prettiest snow I have ever seen!
Susie--how much did you get? We had 12.5 inches. The most we have ever had here in the Dallas area. And, it is still on the ground. There is alot of tree damage from the weight. We are just stunned as we never see winters like this!
Stay safe and warm!
