This is cool. Is this in your yard?

Nola, they are water poppies! :)

Thanks Susie--I hope your day was good too!

I know Cindee--don't we wish spring could stay here forever. I hate summer to end because I love blooms so much, but the heat gets so bad. Luckily we have had some rain this week and the highs are in low 90's.

Tina, I was cleaning out the pond (carefully watching for a snake!) :) and just thought I would toss a couple of poppies in the birdbath to see what would happen. And viola'!! Birdbath poppies!

mr--yes, it's a very lonely birdbath now as it stands without a tree behind it! )

How pretty, I've never heard of water poppies. Thanks for the thoughts & prayers Linda. It's been a better week so far for me. :)

Yeah, my poppies bit the dust many moons ago. How'd you grow poppies this late? Anyway, they're a pretty sight in the bird bath!

Racquel, you find the water poppies at the pond stores. I was surprised they did so well in the birdbath! (glad things are better this week!) :)

Brenda, sending you an email...

Where to I find water poppies? I really need water poppies for my water garden.

Debbi--I wish you would just come get some of mine! I need to pull some out, in fact, I had to pull some yesterday and just throw them away, and I HATE to do that. I bought the plants (2) at Creative Water Gardens here in Garland. They have a great selection of pond plants if you are interested. It's on Garland Road. Let me know if you ever think you might be in this area--I would love to get some of these poppies to you.
