A New Trellis

I had two gardening dilemmas:
1. I needed something for these morning glories to climb as they start to grow.
2. I needed height on the right side of the bed along the fence.
I was at Lowe's last week and found the perfect solution for both issues-I bought a new trellis! It gives me the height I desired, and what could be more perfect for climbing morning glories! I was afraid the wood look might not create enough contract against the fence, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was the perfect contract. And, I think it will look wonderful when the blue morning glories start to bloom! I think I went to Lowe's for a new hummingbird feeder..isn't it great to find a solution to a problem without looking!
I think the trellis adds a homey touch to the flower bed. I like it so much in fact..think I will go back to Lowe's this week for one to put on the left side of the yard!

Very nice and plenty of contrast for sure. Those morning glories will fill it up fast.

Thanks for the compliment Brooke. Did you buy a trellis like this one? I have an iron trellis in one bed, but it fades into the fence. Yeah, I do love Lowe's! I'm in that store at alot, especially this time of year!
Thanks for stopping by--
Happy Gardening!

Tina, I get so impatient waiting for morning glories to bloom! Glad you think there is enough contrast too--I was really pleased with the look.

I love the trellis. It looks perfect in that spot. The morning glories climbing on it will be striking!

Thanks Susie. There are some good things at Lowe's, I always find something I need (want!)

jj-yeah, me too on that "after" thing. I bought more seeds today--just what I need, huh! :)

Cindee--I bought blue mg seeds, and I agree with you, they should be really pretty climbing. Hard to wait for them--they don't bloom here until much later in summer.

I got that same trellis last fall for my Nelly Moser Clematis. Your Morning Glories will look spectacular on it! ;)

It will be beautiful. I just hope my morning glories do better this year than last. They were duds.

I hope they do Racquel--I sometimes have luck with them, but sometimes the heat really gets to them.

Brenda, yeah..know what you mean. As I was telling Racquel, I think the heat gets to mine, and we never know what kind of summer we will have! :)
