Where IS it??

Where IS it? Have you seen it? I haven't seen it in weeks. It use to be up in the sky shinning bright, even on cold winter days. But the past few weeks--it disappeared!
And in my little garden, we are all a little glum and could use some warmth and shine to cheer us up!
Ok--going a little crazy these days, but that is what happens when the sun disappears from sight for soooo many days! It has been cold and cloudy for so long now, we are all feeling rather droopy like these pansies. The weather forecasters keep saying "maybe tomorrow," but here we are again with a dreary day. sigh...
But there are promising signs of good things to come. The cold weather has not hurt the snap-
dragons or alyssum, and little bunny and I are so happy to see bulbs shooting up all over the garden. I see early, early signs of spring on this dreary winter day that delights me..but I sure would like to see a bright shinning sun in the sky to cheer us all up! Maybe tomorrow...

Yeah, you need to take a hint from Annie like the quote at the bottom of your post says. "The sun will come up tomorrow ..." Now how mant day before you see it might be the question.

It's so easy to get down when that sun disappears. I so hope it returns soonest!

Tina, I do too! They are saying maybe tomorrow afternoon. It is so gloomy!

I worked downtown at the Chronicle today and it was pretty gloomy when I arrived. There are no windows in my area so I was quite taken aback to walk out into sunshine at the end of the day! I'm hoping it will show up again tomorrow.

Cindy, it is suppose to be sunny tomorrow afternoon and Wed--then back to cold rain Thurs. I think it is suppose to rain in Houston too. Like the rain though--we sure need it!

Dreary here again today. Snowed all day yesterday. Snow predicted for twice more by the weekend. Below 0 temps later in the week. Weekend cloudy with snow...That's what I have to look forward to. Sunshine...what's sunshine???

Joy, we are really blessed with the winter color even though the pansies and snaps take a blooming break when it gets below freezing. They create such a nice contrast to the winter brown. :)

Balisa--oh gee, I feel bad complaining now. Living in Texas does have it's benefits as we have really mild winters. But then there is July... heh/heh
Your snows look so beautiful--I have never been in "real" snow. :)

Still cool here but due to get near freezing again. The sun is out most time. I saw some snow bells popping out of the ground so it won't be long before I have their pretty little bells to look at.
Sure like your little pansies. I didn't plant any. Wish I had.

Lola--and I wish I had snow bells! I am going to plant some next year. I am reading a book on bulbs that really makes me want some. Sunny today, but big cold front with rain is on the way. Arghhhh! :)

Same here with little sun this month. The last two days have been beautiful with blue skies! Rain on the way though, Sigh...

Linda, I will send you some Snow bells when the time is right. They are just coming up here. Or maybe I could send some now. Would it be better to send them now?
I read that if it blooms in the Spring transplant it in the Fall.

meemsync--the last few days have been sunny, but soooo cold! We dodged the ice though--yea!

Skeeter--our weather changes so fast here. It can go from sun to heavy clouds in a heartbeat. It is sunny now, but really cold..brrrr

Lola, I have always heard you transplant after a bulb finishes blooming...so I think you are right on the blooming in spring and transplanting in fall.
Thanks so much for your offer--you are sooo sweet!!!!

It's the lack of sunshine that makes winter so hard to take! Day after day of gray is depressing, for sure!

MsRobin--I think you're right. I don't mind some cloudy days, in fact I enjoy them. But going without sun for an extended period really can make you feel gloomy.
