That purslane is very pretty. I've heard it is drought tolerant too?

Isn't that plant great!?!? It's so easy and so pretty! Have you seen the one called Cinderella? It's pink with little a yellow fuzzy in the center.

How pretty! I simply cannot grow it well here. I've tried lean, dry soil, excellent loam but the plants just sit and pout and hardly ever bloom.

Perfection indeed, look at all those blooms! :)

Love them! They look so much like moss roses, bet they are related.

Hi everyone!

JJ-I love the colors in purslane too. So bright!!

Tina--Yes, purslane are very drought tolerant. And, if a piece of the plant falls off in the ground, it immediately roots and starts growing and blooming! So cool!

Susie-I have not seen Cinderella, but I need to find one! Your description sounds beautiful!

Marnie--I always grown purslane in containers, although I have a friend that does plant them in the ground. They like hot sun and dry soil. Wonder if it is too cool where you are?

Racquel--the purslane has so many blooms, but wish it would bloom all day long. The flower open in morning and close late afternoon. Many times I never get to see it in full bloom.

Purslane grows everywhere here. It's in the ground & will take over if your not careful.

Looks like little poppies! Bright too!

Lola--really? It will take over? I did not know it would do that. What happens in winter?

MsRobin--I agree. You would think purslane and moss rose were cousins. Wish the purslane would stay open all day like the rose moss though.

Chandrmouli--they are cute little flowers. Now that you mention it, they do look like little California poppies!

It dies back to nothing. It's beginning to bloom around here.
