You can smell them just being out in the front yard JJ.

Yes, they smell so wonderful Susie!

Tina, I wish you could too. I pick 1 or 2 and float them in a teacup in the kitchen. Yum!

Love to smell them. Will have to get another as the other one died.

We almost lost this one Lola due to a bad winter several years ago. Even now it's not as pretty as it once was, but we still get several flowers early summer.

Ummm..indeed! I love the fragrance of Gardenias. I really need to add these to my garden since I found out they are hardy here. :)

I haven't smelled the scent of a gardenia in some time!

Racquel, if the weather gets really icy you may have to cover them. We almost lost this one due to weather. It's one of those things that bloom for such a short time, but it is so worth the wait! :)

Brenda, the scent of gardenia's remind me of my backyard when I was a child. We had the biggest bush, that had the biggest blooms. I think of that time in my life everytime my gardenia bush blooms.

Mmm, beautiful! My sense of smell has all but disappeared since I had radiation to my head and neck in 2003--but I conjour up the scent through your gorgeous photo;-)

Glad you enjoyed the picture Jan. The blooms are fading fast, only a couple or maybe 3 left.
