I don't blame you Linda, it's such a great addition to that area of your garden. And the plants are so lush! :)

I love how that looks! This summer I'm hoping to find some neat containers like that washtub. They add so much charm.

Holy Cow that is awesome! I love it!!!!
My poor washtubs ...they look bad this year. The asparagas ferns died back and they are just now starting to grow. I am going to have to do something else next year!!!!

The foliage colors work beautifully with the brick and wood of your home!

Sorry for the delay in responding! Blogspot would not let me in!! :)

Thanks Racquel! The washtub plants are doing pretty good despite the hot temps!

Thanks Tina! I am loving the tub there too.

Thanks Susie. I love the way that area turned out.

JJ--tee/hee! True!

Catherine--I love anything galvanized! And looked for a long time to find a washtub. I just love, love it! :)

Cindee--you have so many great containers! This is right up your alley like me. We so have the same taste! :)

Pam--thank you!! I was really pleased with the way the colors turned out. I think it will look good in fall too, if I can keep it alive all summer.

meem--thank you!!!!

Brenda--I had a hard time finding one of these. Stumbled across it in Frederickburg.

Thanks Robin. I think it's something that appeals to most gardeners. Give a garden character.

Thanks Lola! Hey, those golden crown are bloomin again. I'll try and see if it seeds this time for you.

I love the little wash tub garden too. Is that sitting in full sun? I've seen sever container plantings in this area with coleus in the sun but wasn't sure how it would do in July and August.

Marnie--the washtub does not get full sun as it sits under the eaves a bit. The hot sun does touch it some, but the coleus I have in it handles the sun pretty well. I do have to keep it watered. We'll see about July and August. It's already been hot here, but August can be almost unbearable. I may cut it was back and water like crazy to keep it around until frost.

I love your old washtub, too! It's a good thing I don't live closer, or your washtub might just disappear into my trunk.
