About 2 months ago my neighbor across the alley told me she thought there was a nest of baby bunnies in her yard. Well, guess who I caught nibbling on the sedum this afternoon? I believe this is either Flopsy, Mopsy, or maybe it's Peter Rabbit himself!
How cute is this! (Sorry the pictures are blurry--I was taking them through the kitchen window) Now before you say anything..I know bunnies are very destructive; and I know what happens when bunnies grow up and start dating...but y'all---I just did not have the heart to run the baby bunny off.
He (she) had a little snack, and sat in the inpatients and washed his (her) face and hands (what a good little bunny)....

then hopped off under the Boston Fern to take a little nap.
I really don't want to be raising bunny rabbits, but I don't mind if the baby lives in our yard for right now--I have flowers to share. But... what do I do when cute bunny turns into troublesome rabbit??? Any thoughts?

So SWEET and terrific pictures - I'm looking forward to more bunny tales ;-)
Awww, that first picture is SO cute! I don't think even if you tried you could run these guys off Linda. That's the problem:)
Oh that is precious! I miss seeing bunnies here. I say when he becomes a little "destructive" trap him and take him off to the country.
jj-if he/she hangs around, I will take more pictures. The cute little thing was running (well, hopping) all over the yard this morning!
Oh dear Tina...what do I do? We have never had rabbits in our neighborhood until this year. They are just so cute--it's hard to get mad at them.
We never had bunnies until this spring Susie. We (neighborhood) are all enjoying watching them, but it may not be long before it will be a problem. They are sooo cute!!
I would say there is not much you can do about them. We have them occasionally here and the cats and dogs usually take care of them. They don't last long in the yard. But at our other house in a subdivision, OMG! The rabbits outnumber the dogs and cats and are bigger! They have their say in that area. Good thing I don't garden there:) Hopefully they'll move on. As a last case scenario, maybe some rabbit spray?
Just let your little dogs out. The bunnies will learn and stay away.
wait, I don't know if you actually have dogs. I was thinking of brenda. Ooops.
Tina--maybe this is just a short lived thing since we have never had bunnies in our neighborhood. Funny thing..so many of my friends (that do not live around me)are telling me they are seeing bunnies this year. Isn't that odd??
He's a cute one Racquel, and I don't have a dog to chase him away. I'm not going to worry about it for now. It's too hot to worry about much right now! :)
Debbi--you are right..that is Brenda that has the cute little dogs. We do not have any pets, just a granddog (that would love nothing more than to chase a certain baby bunny out of the yard!) :)
The pictures were great. I especially lioked your quote from Beatrix Potter
mr--thanks! You know how I feel about Beatrix Potter! :)
One hops around my front yard at night. Maybe cause of Clyde it doesn't venture in back where I have more plantings. It's awful cute! I wouldn't try to run it off either if I didn't have a cat that does it for me!
Brenda
There are sure lots of bunnies this year Brenda! I have had more people (that don't live around me) tell me they are seeing bunnies and never did before. It really is cute!
I love that first picture ... what a cutie! I hope he continues to be more of a pleasure than a nuisance!
I do too Cindy! I don't want to be raising rabbits--just enjoying one little bunny!
