We woke up this morning to thunder, lightening and MORE RAIN!! Yea!! I haven't gotten out to do any gardening in the past few days..our lawn needs to be mowed, it's hard to take Allie out in pouring rain, but you will not hear me complaining! I am loving this rain and cooler temperatures.
The flagstone pathway running through the back of our yard becomes a small stream when it rains. I didn't catch this during that part of the storm, but it left little ripples over the stones. You can barely see them.
And, it will take a while for things to drain here, but again...I'm ok with this.

Yahoo for the rain. Still hoping for a bit here too.
I hope you get some rain too Tina. It has been wonderful!
There are puddles on my patios this morning, so it must have rained again during the night. It's been such a blessing ... I'm happy that so many of my fellow Texas gardeners are getting rain, too.
Great attitude Linda! I'm always grateful for any amount of rain I can get. It's nice that things cooled off for you too. Just think how lush your garden will be after it's all said & done. :)
Meadowview-Beautiful rainy day pictures. Thank the Good Lord above for the rain. I agree, I think rainy days are perfect for reflection.
It rained last night and has been raining this a.m. so as I was driving to work I got called telling me to stay home. Yeah!!
I love your Flagstone Babbling Brook pictures. Since, we're still in August and the sun will come back with a vengence, I don't think it will take to long to dry out.
Cindy, I am happy for us too! It's been a while since we've had a rainy day here. My flowers are really happy!
pg--I think I can see the flowers growing! :)
Actually, I really do think I see the grass growing--we have got to mow!
Susie--ummmm...rainy day at home! I could handle one of those! Enjoy!
jj--you're right, I know you are right..but this is making me want to make pumpkin bread and burn cinnamon candles! :)
Yippee for rain! I'm glad you're getting some too, Linda.
Thanks Pam--all our flowers are going to be so happy!
I am still praying for rain and will take the mud water etc.(-: I can't wait to run through the rain and smell the fresh smell!!! I am glad you are getting rain!!!!
I pray you get rain too Cindee! Ours was great! However, the heat has now set back in and it feels like a sauna. Oh well--it's still summer!
